Guruji, GURU PASHUPATI exclaims, “The biggest misunderstanding we all have is ‘Yogic Therapy!’
A section of people believes Yoga to be a tool or hack that can be used to overcome mental issues or physical health problems.
On the contrary, Patanjali sees mental and physical health issues as obstacles to learning Yoga. He clearly lists eight mental health concerns that pose threats to learning YOGA. He goes ahead and lists issues related to health as the ninth obstacle before we embark on the journey of YOGA.
There cannot be ‘Yogic Therapy’ where ‘health’ itself is a concern for us. Therefore, it is mandatory to have ‘optimal health.’
There are various factors that contribute to the degeneration of our health. One of the main reasons is the environment that we put ourselves in.
For the purpose of gaining health, an individual has to stop living unnaturally which means we have to start living according to what Nature has evolved us into.
How do we live unnatural lives disconnected from Nature?
To begin with, we cover ourselves in layers of clothes in addition to all sorts of toxic light coming into our ‘photosensitive’ body.
We consume every kind of deadly chemical available out there. Drinking and smoking has become a common habit amongst us.
When we indulge in such activities, our health automatically starts to deteriorate.
We should also take into account the toxic emotions and the petty feelings that we partake in because of the small story that we believe to be a part of, which contributes to creating a very limited timeline for us.
We are so quick to judge. It doesn’t take a second for us to become slaves of immediate bursts of toxic emotions like anger, hate, jealousy, fear, and so on.
What we fail to understand is, ‘LIFE IS A MARATHON.’ The ups and downs in life are inevitable and we need not take either of them seriously.
" Witnessing events and emotions is an art. To be able to witness the amazing journey of life without being too attached to any of the conditions and consequences is truly liberating "
Guru Pashupati
The goal of practising YOGA is to try and reach an understanding of who we really are as the immortal JIVA.
Our Consciousness is never extinguished. It doesn’t depend on the body. The Consciousness exists independently as ‘formless’ devoid of any physical attributes.
This is something that one has to ‘experience’ in Yoga.
Mere understanding is inadequate solely because certain experiences can literally only be understood when encountered.
All that we perceive with our senses becomes like a movie and undoubtedly, we must all aspire to be a witness to a fantastic play. When we start observing the world around us, we will see that everything is gleaming with life and beauty!
YOGA goes into the understanding of ‘Karma’. It goes into the depth of our innate story and gives us knowledge about how we can ‘shape it into the future.’
We must be aware that 30 days into the future it has already been created. It is not possible for us to influence it much. However, it is absolutely possible for us to influence how we feel about it.
It is crucial for us to have control over our emotions and to inculcate wholesome habits in order to be ‘qualified’ to learn YOGA.
Soaking ourselves in the Sun and following a proper sleep cycle with optimal hormonal balance while avoiding all substances that cause ailments like cancer, diabetes, renal failure and all of the modern diseases is mandatory.
Not being ‘financially free’ also acts as an obstacle to learning Yoga because it brings up feelings of fear, insecurity, and inadequacy which hinders us from relishing every moment. This happens because our thoughts constantly revolve around money making and gradually, we begin to lose sight of the bigger picture.
Nobody can set the limit to how much money we can make but we must have enough to sustain ourselves and fulfil our duties to our family and society. That being so, people who haven’t mastered the skill of making money; having great relationships and valuable connections with optimum health and mental vitality cannot begin on the journey of Yoga.
Numerous organizations and individuals are misleading Yoga aspirants by claiming that Yoga is the solution to all our problems!
YOGA is being falsely propagated as a tool that can be used for fulfilling personal motives.
Guru Pashupati
In contrast, YOGA is the understanding of the immortal Self that is indestructible; the realisation of the Divine Mother Shakti who is the ultimate MahaMaya; the awareness of Ardhanari and ultimately the Consciousness of Shiva.
After we come to the realization of the spectacular enchantments that make us who we are, we are regularly amused by the game that is unfolded by Shakti.
“We can ride on these waves; these waves of beauty.”
As Shankaracharya puts it, these waves of beauty that encompass us are called ‘Saundaryalahiri’. We can ride on these magical waves of ‘Saundarya’ which indeed translates to ‘beauty’ and experience every kind of delight that we perceive as inconceivable.
Subsequently, what occurs is a state of being where we are satisfied with our mind, our body, and our soul. A sense of fulfillment develops in us. It becomes natural for us to desire outrageously wondrous things for every being in this Universe.
The desire to live for thousands of years arises in us because finally, we come to the realization that we are immortal jivas. We begin to appreciate and acknowledge all that we are surrounded by. The inclination to soak in everything and every being starts culminating in us.
This is in fact what YOGA is all about.
How do we begin?
First of all, we have to nullify all the threats or obstacles we have regarding our mental and physical health.
If we suffer from emotional issues, it is most likely due to imbalance in dopamine. The imbalance in our dopamine levels can be fixed by going out in the Sun as naked as possible and taking in as much Sunlight as we can.
Our bodies must be tan in every area simply because of the fact that we are photosensitive.
Being sensitive to artificial light is necessary. We should care enough for our bodies to eliminate artificial light and radiation if we sincerely want to learn Yoga.
It should become painful for us to be in artificial light and that is precisely how we will begin to understand the harmful effects of it and why we must avoid it.
This can only be possible if we treat our bodies as the ‘photosensitive body’ it is with ‘photoreceptors’ in every part and soak in as much Sunlight as we can.
In fact, bathe in it.
Lack of Sunlight and tremendous exposure to ‘artificial light’ and radiation from electronic gadgets leads to the degeneration of our ‘sensory neurons’ which makes us ‘insensitive’ quite literally as well as metaphorically.
This is one of the main reasons why we are unable to feel and understand the depth of subjects. We have forgotten to take risks and ask questions. We have forgotten how to pivot when we fail. We have forgotten how to be magical.
There is no alternative for Sunlight. No supplement can replace the benefits that absorbing Sunlight has on our bodies.
Bathing ourselves in Sunlight for at least a few hours is crucial.
Any part of our body that is not exposed to Sun because of us wearing clothes and covering ourselves up; is going to be unhealthy in the long run.
We must start getting naked in the Sun and taking Sunlight all over our body.
All the problems regarding Urinary Tract Disorder; the reproductive system; issues like Erectile Dysfunction can be solved with Sunlight.
Bad breath can be treated by opening our mouths to the Sun. People suffering from Tinnitus should get Sunlight in their ears every day for at least an hour.
Ailments of the eyes like Myopia can be treated just by exposing our eyes to Sunlight. We can start by looking a few degrees away at the sky instead of looking directly at the Sun.
Diabetic people have to bathe themselves in Sunlight and avoid exposing themselves to ‘blue light’ or ‘artificial light’. Artificial light increases the level of glucose in our body which is the primary cause of diabetes.
WHO (World Health Organization) has declared various frequencies from artificial light to be carcinogenic.
Guruji, GURU PASHUPATI has witnessed the ill effects of artificial light amongst his students and how it had contributed to the stagnation of their growth.
What ultimately helped is avoiding artificial light completely after Sunset and getting as much Sunlight as possible.
Guruji emphasizes that those who don’t take him seriously continue to suffer. It is not possible for such an individual to know or understand what Yoga truly is and what they came to Guruji for.
This is knowledge. This is where we have to begin. It is not justifiable to seek results without putting in the effort.
Guru Pashupati
Yoga is also misunderstood to be limited to chanting mantras. Mantras undoubtedly have a lot of power.
However, it is not possible for us to reap the benefits of anything we do, including chanting mantras, if we lack mental vitality due to insufficient Sunlight as a result of which our brain stops functioning as it should.
With innumerable transmitters going haywire in the brain; the ‘neuromelanin’ which is crucial for our brain health keeps getting depleted at an accelerating rate.
Our hormones are especially connected to light-sensitive activities. Hormones are chemicals with properties that are exceptionally light-sensitive.
Urbanization of our nation and the concrete jungles we are building is spontaneously pushing us toward our death.
The whole world has switched to LED with the notion of doing something eco-friendly by saving electricity. The incandescent bulbs were bad enough. The flicker from the LED screens and bulbs is driving us crazy.
People are not normal. They don’t even have the courage they had when they were kids. Constant exposure to artificial light deforms our cells and causes dysfunction in our entire system.
This is all because we fail to follow ‘proper light discipline’.
We all agree that exercise is important for the body. Every day we must go out in the Sun and sweat. Sweating reduces inflammation in our body because protons come out through our sweat and leave our body. We also release protons when we urinate, hence keeping ourselves hydrated is necessary.
When we begin getting enough Sunlight, our body’s dependency on food decreases making it easier for us to maintain our BMI (Body Mass Index) without wasting hours at the gym.
Bathing or taking dips in ‘Cold Water’ is also essential because it helps in the production of testosterone in our bodies.
Men will start waking up with an erection every day when they start having cold water baths regularly. We will start growing muscles without exercising due to the increase in testosterone.
Food products like fruits and vegetables have a lot of ‘deuterium’ and, therefore must be consumed in limited quantities. People think eating loads of fruits and vegetables is going to affect our health in a better way.
What actually happens when we intake a lot of fruits and veggies is a significant increase in deuterium in the cells as a result, the functions of the mitochondria in our cells start to diminish.
We must consume food products that are rich in ‘electrons’. Fats are extremely abundant in electrons.
Primarily, any kind of animal fat like ghee and butter; fatty fish, egg yolks, and coconut oil have a lot of electrons.
It doesn’t matter if we are vegetarian or non-vegetarian, any saturated fat is going to make us ‘rich in electrons.
The only supplement people might need is Vitamin K2; Vitamin K2MK7 which helps us remove excess calcium from the arteries and sends it back to where it is supposed to be; our bones.
This crucial supplement can be avoided if we get enough Sunlight. Again, no supplement available on this planet can replace the Sun. The best part is, SUNLIGHT IS FREE.
Similarly, as we increase our intake of water, the production of magnesium in our body increases which helps us get rid of all kinds of aches and pains.
It is not rocket science. It is in fact quite simple to understand if we really open our minds and reflect on it.
The irony is, getting Sunlight is what helps us open our minds to be sensible towards the information that comes our way which helps us understand the knowledge we seek, in fact; only then the hunger or the desire to grow and learn will start developing in us.
Eventually, our minds will start opening up to the teachings of YOGA. It will open our minds to learning about KARMA, learning about the JIVA, learning about Shakti who sustains us and ultimately Shiva.
When we start being sensitive to our environment, we will come across certain experiences which cannot be put to words. It is possible for us to enter a state of being where words cease to exist and language dissolves; our understanding goes beyond the limits of words and languages.
This is Nirvikalpa Samadhi.
One of the greatest illusions is Language. Each one of us lives in a world of languages and we use it recklessly without even a hint of awareness.
We go on putting stamps of ownership on everything we come across be it land, cars, anything. We even go to the extent of putting stamps on fellow humans. We are stuck with the identities that we were imposed on as a child and we continue to do the same with other people. We give them identities based on our ‘relationship’ with them and behave accordingly, which leads to nothing but chaos.
Every being that we have ever come across and have ‘labeled’ accordingly is in fact, ‘IMMORTAL JIVAS’.
All of us.
Each one of us.
You are a Jiva reading this blog that I, the Jiva, have written.
Our parents are Shiva and Shakti.
We are all Jivas who came out of Shakti and are here to experience everything that is fulfilling and magical!
Sadly, what we are currently doing and experiencing as Jivas is anything but fulfilling.
People are so disappointed and dissatisfied with everything.
It is nobody’s fault but the teachings that we are being fed about the mortality of our bodies.
We are hardwired to believe that our lives are meant to be futile and ordinary.
Do we really believe our lives are futile? We might believe so but it isn’t necessarily true. The cells in our bodies are constantly fighting for survival. They are continuously being created and destroyed and the process continues.
Immunity is nothing but the capacity of our cells to fight off anything that is abnormal in our body.
The intelligence of the cells within us is what we must tap into instead of empty philosophical discussions about the meaning of life.
The meaning of life is what our cells are doing for us. They are charged, filled with a burning desire to exist that is so strong; that it can be equivalent to sexual desire.
It is wonderful when we go into the depth of how marvelous the human body is.
Being appreciative of Shakti and acknowledging all that we have endured to become who we are with so much sophistication yet precision like the cells in our body can really help us understand how crucial it is for all of us to learn how to sustain and feed our cells what it needs.
The reason people are sick is because of the infinite ignorance of the magic that happens in our bodies.
We fail to relate to fellow beings because the stories that we tell ourselves about who we are and the perception with which we view others are quite limited.
Thankfully, we are not limited beings, we are Jivas.
Therefore, we must adhere to the discipline that our body and our mind require to sustain itself.
It will be beneficial for all of us to depend on our ‘senses’ instead of ‘language’ to perceive anything and any being we come across.
We will see that the world is BEAUTIFUL.
The Sun’s rays gleaming on the hard work and the dedication of a spider building its web, light reflecting off of leaves like mirrors. The clouds in the sky and the birds flying by; we are engulfed in SHAKTI.
Every being on this planet is just dancing waves of energy.
Shakti is brimming all around and we are in the middle of her as the Consciousness.
Every Jiva is Shiva. Even a sideward glance of Shakti can turn our lives around. It becomes possible for us to dream and work for the future and the story we truly desire.
However, it is important to note that we cannot experience Shakti in our low states of mind and energy. We must strive to be mentally vital at any cost.
As the sun sets, instead of wasting our health and time on electronic devices and screens, we must sit and meditate on everything that we feel with all of our senses and none of our language.
It is not easy to sit all by ourselves where the only form of expression we are accustomed to comes to a halt.
The fact that we believe that language is the only medium of expression and understanding is itself a problem. To use language as a shortcut to understand things is foolish.
There are, in fact, various levels of understanding.
Guruji, GURU PASHUPATI further explains it is not enough for us to gain an understanding of any subject just based on what we have been made to believe all along.
One has to experience the state of DHYANA.
We have to perceive everything that surrounds us with all senses going into the depth of it; wherein we become the thing itself.
Anything and everything that we perceive just seem to merge into us, with our senses piercing through it all, feeling and absorbing every bit of it.
This is DHYANA.
DHYANA is FOCUS. Dhyana is absolute focus on something with unwavering engagement of our senses.
Our words stand as a barrier against our senses.
The key to falling asleep early is sitting in silence after sunset devoid of artificial light; sensing and embracing everything around us. We will find that once we begin to sleep on time,
our circadian rhythm starts falling into place. It becomes quite natural for us to wake up before Sunrise.
Furthermore, after we wake up, we must resist using words right away. If we are fortunate enough to have DIKSHA of a mantra, it is beneficial to chant only the mantra as a regular practice.
When we sincerely start practicing such a routine, we will be amazed by the infinite potential and strength we are capable of.
Our bodies will start changing.
It will be wise for us to make arrangements to get naked in the Sun while exercising. Sorting out our priority is important.
Instead of spending lacs on a trip abroad, we can invest that money in raising the parapets of our terraces so that we are able to get naked in the Sun without worrying about somebody seeing us.
We must never hesitate to invest in the most valuable asset, our health.
We should ask ourselves, what are the changes that we would bring on if all of us fixed our sleep cycle and woke up every day with a burning desire to create something Marvelous.
How it would impact on the lives of each one of us if we could free ourselves from toxic environments like schools and offices filled with artificial light.
We have to begin with experiencing Mental Vitality by avoiding artificial blue light.
Gradually, our brains will take us out of any slavery we are bound to. Working in an NGO can be slavery too if we are deprived of the freedom to make decisions about anything, wherein everything is decided by our employer.
It just takes a little brain (mental vitality) and effort to break free from these bondages. A little knowledge and skills about marketing and sales are quite easy to acquire when our brains are actually working.
In fact, Guruji says it is possible for us to understand rocket science literally if we get our brains to work as it should. Guruji embarked on a journey of machine learning and linguistics in order to understand why his students were not learning which ultimately led him to ‘quantum biology’.
This is what prepares us for YOGA.
Whatever we do prior to this is not Yoga.
YOGA goes beyond chanting mantras and practising breathing exercises we come across on the Internet.
Yoga is also not just limited to Asanas that are taught in the Yoga TTC Courses.
GURU PASHUPATI explains YOGA begins with ‘YAMA NIYAMA’; which is extremely significant yet quite misunderstood.
People mistake these steps to be behavioral guidelines but they are not. These Sutras go beyond anything that we are currently accustomed to.
The Yama Niyamas emphasize on what to STOP and what to PRODUCE in our minds to make the right energy to bring our body into ‘ASANA’.
ASANA means seat. It simply means to seat the energy that is required for Yoga.
Asanas help us bring alignment to our bodies. It is necessary for our body to be comfortable and free of stress.
What comes next is, ‘PRANAYAMA’.
PRANAYAMA is a set of breathing practices. When an individual practices Pranayama, the air is taken not just into the lungs but also into the stomach and is expelled through the mouth which cleans up the stomach.
Air is swallowed and breathed repeatedly and held in the body as long as possible and then released.
This is Pranayama.
There are 8 ways to do it. Each one of them is equally significant. These breathing practices work on different aspects of neurology. Pranayama practices also help us in balancing our hormones.
However, we have to keep in mind that all of these practices are done outdoors in the Sunlight, not indoors in an artificially lit studio. It just doesn’t work.
We must sit on the bare grounds like actual YOGIS do instead of using a toxic yoga mat.
This way, we can start connecting ourselves to the Earth and take energy in the form of ‘electrons’ from the bare ground.
GURU PASHUPATI describes further; that there are 64 Asanas that are crucial in Yoga. These Asanas create a flow of PRANA in our body.
The rest of the practices are good to build the body, however, they are not really YOGA.
We get PRANA primarily from the Sun. We also get Prana from breath. Food is a source of Prana as well.
Nowadays, we depend only on food to get Prana. We are getting none from the Sun and our breath. As a result, our bodies are worsening day by day.
We consume a lot of food because it has become our only source of Prana.
After Pranayama comes, ‘PRATYAHARA’.
Pratyahara is usually defined as the ‘withdrawal of the senses.
PRATYAHARA in fact, is the ‘dropping of language’.
Once we drop all language, we are able to fully soak ourselves and be a part of the ebb and flow in the game of SHAKTI; the energy that we are encircled with; laced with; MADE WITH.
When we start admiring and appreciating Shakti, she notices us.
What follows next is a state called ‘DHARANA’.
In DHARANA, we become a part of the flow. DHARA means STREAM.
Once we are a part of the Stream, all dilemma and decision fatigue disappear from our lives. We are free from all confusion and indecisiveness because our body automatically starts making decisions for us which we can completely rely on.
It is unnecessary for us to second guess anything when we get DHARANA.
And then, comes ‘DHYANA’.
When an individual is in a state of Dhyana, the boundaries that we use to create demarcation and differences between the Self that is, the Jiva, and others; that we perceive to be different from us, dissolve.
A person becomes one with everything he/she can perceive; EVERYTHING and EVERY BEING.
Being in DHYANA ultimately leads us to ‘SAMADHI’.
There are two types of SAMADHI; one is where we create an artificial boundary between the Self that is us and the others which is Savikalpa Samadhi.
The other is a state where all boundaries dissipate and we are able to witness the continuum of the ultimate Consciousness which is Nirvikalpa Samadhi.
Both states of Samadhi are equally majestic; to perceive others as children of Shakti and to be one with it all.
It is possible for us to switch between the two wherein it becomes natural for us to actually be thrilled about our roles on this Earth.
The story that we are all a part of becomes an extraordinary experience. We can witness how everything we perceive is just one infinite screen where everything is being played; Shakti.
In SAMADHI, we are able to create ‘SAMYAMA’.
SAMYAMA is a state where we start becoming one with whoever and whatever we choose to.
IT CAN BE SHAKTI.
IT CAN BE SHIVA.
IT CAN BE ANYTHING.
We can merge with anything we want to in SAMYAMA.
This is an advanced stage of YOGA which is ‘MUKTI’.
This is indeed the last stage where we create intensely deep SAMYAMA with whatever we choose.
Eventually, our individuality dissipates and we are no longer human.
We become a SIDDHA. A MAHASIDDHA.
Sadly, this is not what people are currently looking for in YOGA. They are seeking all the empty fundamental philosophies which serve no purpose.
Guruji emphasizes that it will be beneficial for us to start making a list of what we must truly seek and make ways to implement it.
Eventually we will get to a stage where we are free from all the mental and physical hurdles.
Only then, GURU PASHUPATI can begin to teach us some YOGA. In fact, Guruji would love to guide us because there won’t be any obstacles posing as a barrier on our way.
We won’t be looking for solutions anymore. Instead, our priority will be learning about our Self; and our CREATOR.
Guruji, GURU PASHUPATI looks forward to teaching such people.
GURU PASHUPATI is available and approachable for us if we have any queries or questions.
